Activated alumina is the product of DE hydroxylation aluminum hydroxide. It is a highly porous material which is used as a desiccant, absorber, and also as a filter for water. The aluminum oxide removes fluoride, arsenic, and selenium to make water suitable for drinking. Activated alumina DE fluoridation removes toxic chemicals like fluoride and arsenic from drinking water. The filters contain activated alumina balls that absorb all the fluoride and other toxic elements.
