Activated Alumina basically made up of Aluminium Oxide which is highly porous and exhibits tremendous surface area. Being supplier of Activated Alumina Balls we provide material which is resistant to thermal shock and abrasion. Moreover it will not shrink, swell, soften nor will disintegrate when immersed in water. The main advantage using Activated Alumina Balls is its high surface area about 345-415 m²/gm and attrition loss is very less about 0.2 % having crushing strength of 8-12 kgf/cm².

Activated Alumina is being very effective when used as water filter. Water having various impurities and contents should be filtered in order to prevent any harmful disease in human beings. The main concern is to control access amount of Fluoride contents in water. Fluoride compounds are basically salts that form when the element fluorine combines with minerals in soil and rocks. Excessive amount of fluoride in drinking water would result into several diseases leading to bone fracture in adults, tooth decaying etc.

Activated Alumina Balls thereby being used as water filtration to remove access fluoride contents from water. Permissible limit of fluoride content is about 1.5 mg/litre so activated alumina balls manufactured by us can be very useful in reducing fluoride contents.

Being supplier and manufacturer of Activated Alumina Balls we mainly focus on quality of material thereby try to keep customers happy and satisfied. We have long client list of customer to whom we provide Activated Alumina on regular basis.

Activated Alumina Balls is basically made up of Aluminium Hydroxide by dehydroxylating it which produces highly porous material. This will have high surface area around 345-415 m²/gm.

Activated Alumina Balls is widely preferred due to its varied application and its high adsorption capacity. Activated Alumina Balls is used for a wide range of Adsorbent and Catalyst application such as adsorption of polyethylene production, in hydrogen peroxide productions and also for removing access amount of Fluoride and Arsenic contents from water.

Activated Alumina when used as desiccant, the process is called Adsorption. The air passes through alumina balls where the water that is present in the air gets sticked in alumina through the tiny passages through them, thus water molecules get trapped & thereby the air is dried out and passes through the filter. On regeneration desiccant i.e. by heating to -200°c it would release trapped water.

Mostly Activated Alumina Balls is being used in Air Dryer/Desiccant Dryers namely Heatless Air Dryer, Heat of Compression Air Dryer and Heat Re-activated Air Dryer. Activated Alumina Balls would absorb moisture present in the Air and thereby would give dry air and is suitable of acquiring Dew Point of -40°c. It would be advisable that the bed should be compactly filled so to avoid air passing without being in touch with Alumina Balls.

Activated Alumina Balls is also used for reducing access amount of Fluoride and Arsenic contents from water. Activated Alumina Balls has capacity of reducing fluoride contents up to 0.1 ppm.

It is said that ‘necessity is the mother of invention’. Humans have always been producing or inventing newer things to meet their requirements. This following article will tell you about one such invention of human which may not be so useful for regular household uses but it has a large role to play in industrial sectors especially in sectors like chemical, petrochemical, fertilizer, air and gas etc. Ok, let’s not create any more mist about this. I am talking about ‘Activated Alumina Balls’. You might have not heard the name but it is a very important element in industrial sectors.

Activated Alumina Ball is manufactured from Aluminium hydroxide. This chemical element is turned into a highly absorbent product through the dehydroxilation process. This new porous element is used to keep everything dry by absorbing moisture from the air. It is also used as a filter of arsenic and selenium in drinking water. The key chemical compound is Aluminium Oxide (Al2O3). The surface area of this element is very high because of its pores.

Due to its high capability of absorbing water from the air, this element is a must in places where area cleanliness and product dryness is important. Basically Aluminium Oxide is heated at a high temperature to produce Alumina ball. Some of the characteristics of this ball are it is fragrance-free, non-toxic, insoluble and tasteless. All these features make it a perfect choice for chemical and acid industry where moisture can often change the characteristics of any element different chemical reactions. These balls have a frequent use in absorbing polluted materials like hydrogen sulphide, sulphur oxide, hydrogen fluoride etc. These balls are also used for drying various chemical elements like ethylene, propylene, hydrogen and other elements.

These balls can be different in terms of size and shapes. Basically the size and shape depends on the specific requirements of the industry. These balls never shrink, swell or become soften in any situation which make these balls a perfect solution for preserving products from damages caused by water or moisture etc.

Let’s have a look at some of the key advantages of this ball. All right so here we go.

1) These balls are often used as a solid air dryer system.

2) These are also used for the purpose of drying unrefined liquid.

3) These balls have a large use as a purifying agent in many industries.

4) These are used to dry substances like hydrogen, oxygen, CO2, Nitrogen etc.

Considering the increasing demand of these balls in the industry area, many companies in India are now manufacturing these balls and not only that these are also being exported in other countries as well. for more information go to http://activatedaluminaballs.com/activated-alumina-balls/

Activated Alumina – Is highly Porous and Exhibits tremendous Surface Area. Due to its distinctive properties it is being more preferred to use in Oil Filtration Systems. It is resistant to thermal Shock and abrasion and will not shrink, swell, soften nor disintegrate when immersed in water.

The uniformity of Bead Size prevents gas flow channelling and minimizes pressure drop. In addition to this there are various Advantages of Activated Alumina Balls due to which it has become well known among various Adsorbents. It has uniform Ball Size having high Crushing Strength, High Adsorption Capacity, Low Bulk Density and Low Attrition Loss. Due to such properties, Activated Alumina Balls becomes one sided option for use in various application namely in Transformer Oil Filtration.

The above Figure Shows an Oil Filtration Plant having a Chamber at each side filled with Activated Alumina Balls. Transformer Oil is passed through chamber containing Activated Alumina Balls through which the oil would be purified i.e. Moisture contents would be removed and would be absorbed by our material. SORBEAD INDIA – Being a One Sort solution for moisture is well known for this application. We are having long client base satisfied with use of Activated Alumina Ball for oil purification.

Activated Alumina – As Acid Reduction Material

Now Question arises can the total acid numbers be reduced in Lube-Oil? The answer to this would be definitely yes you can, Use Activated Alumina Ball. Hard Working Lube-Oils and Hydraulic Fluids Change their Characteristic with time. Acid is one by-product of aging. Acid is by-product of complex chemical reactions within the systems. Unchecked Acids feeds on itself, thereby raising Total Acid Numbers. Highly Oxidized Fluids reveal high Acid Numbers.

Depending on Oil, the Acid Numbers can be effectively reduced by using Activated Alumina Balls 3-5 mm. SORBEAD INDIA – Would be there to reduce your worries if you have Such Problems.
